Statistics Estonia carried out the survey of Intrastat data providers in October 2014 to measure the administrative burden caused by Intrastat and the satisfaction of data providers. The obtained data and collected feedback will be used in the development and simplification of the Intrastat report. Statistics Estonia expresses its gratitude to all the data providers who participated in the survey! The questionnaire was filled in by 1,091 respondents. For Museum Day: Museum attendance shows an upward trend

Year 2009 was Museum Year in Estonia. According to Statistics Estonia, in spite of the economic recession, the attendance of museums increased by 8% in 2009 compared to the previous year, amounting to over 2.2 million.

In the 2nd quarter, year-over-year growth in average wages and salaries accelerated

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,242 euros, and increased 6.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016. The year-over-year growth in wages and salaries, which had decelerated for four successive quarters, accelerated again and was 1.1 percentage points faster than in the previous quarter.

Eurostat published the report of the Peer Review of the Estonian statistical system. In the report, the Estonian Statistical System was concluded to be of high quality. However, the Peer Review team also identified areas where improvements should be made.

Central Government budget balance improved

According to revised data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the Estonian general government sector surplus was 1.1% and gross debt level was 6.1% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The central government budget reached the surplus again after three successive years of deficit.
