Conference “Small Estonia, big Europe – what do statistics show?” of Statistics Estonia and Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, is taking place today, 24 October. The conference focuses on consumers of statistics.
During the first days of June, Statistics Estonia tested readiness to conduct an online survey of the Population and Housing Census in a new survey application. According to the census project manager Liina Osila, the testing was successful and Statistics Estonia is technologically ready for the census.
In September 2021, the producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, increased by 2.8% compared to August 2021 and by 19.2% compared to September 2020.
According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2021, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 9% year on year. Production increased by 20% in energy production and by 8% in manufacturing, but decreased by 2% in mining.
According to Statistics Estonia, 281,400 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in September 2017, i.e. 10% more than in September 2016. The number of both foreign and domestic tourists increased.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in November 2017 was 0.5% compared to October 2017 and 4.2% compared to November of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2018, the change of the consumer price index was 0.4% compared to December 2017 and 3.5% compared to January 2017.
