According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the total profit of the business sector was 2.8 billion euros, which is 40% more than the year before. The enterprises last earned a similar total profit in 2006 and 2008.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 0.7% in the third quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2015, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 1.1% compared to 2014. In the 4th quarter of 2015, the Estonian economy grew 0.7% compared to the 4th quarter of 2014.
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2011 compared to June of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 4% at constant prices.
Today, on 29 November, Statistics Estonia is presenting the publication Regional Development in Estonia 2013, which focuses on business and economy this time. One of the topics discussed in the publication is the viability index of local government units.
According to Statistics Estonia, in February exports of goods from Estonia at current prices totalled 7.9 billion kroons and imports to Estonia 8.9 billion kroons. Compared to February of the previous year, exports declined by 26% and imports by 35%. The decrease was caused by a significant decline in the trade concerning machinery and equipment and transport equipment.
The international conference “Official Statistics in a Changing World” is taking place today in the Estonian National Opera House. With the conference, the producers of official statistics in Estonia, Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, and candidate for the status, the National Institute for Health Development, are celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Estonian Statistical System.
According to Statistics Estonia, the net sales of the business sector amounted to 130 billion kroons in the 2nd quarter of 2009 which at current prices was 23% less than in the 2nd quarter of the previous year.
