To assure the quality of processes and products, Statistics Estonia applies the EFQM Excellence Model, the European Statistics Code of Practice and the Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System (ESS QAF). Statistics Estonia is also guided by the requirements in § 7. “Principles and quality criteria of producing official statistics” of the Official Statistics Act.
Statistics Estonia performs all statistical activities according to an international model (Generic Statistical Business Process Model – GSBPM). According to the GSBPM, the final phase of statistical activities is overall evaluation using information gathered in each phase or sub-process; this information can take many forms, including feedback from users, process metadata, system metrics and suggestions from employees. This information is used to prepare the evaluation report which outlines all the quality problems related to the specific statistical activity and serves as input for improvement actions. |

The data are published for Estonia only. Geographical comparability at international level cannot be assessed.
The main data on theatres have been published since 1985, the data on economic activities since 1995, the data on performances by target group since 2004 and the data on performances by genre of production since 2007. Until 2003 (incl.), data was published only on state and town theatres. In 2004–2006, also other theatres supported from the state budget were included. Since 2007, in addition to state and town theatres, all private theatres and theatre projects have been included, irrespective of whether or not they receive state support. The data on state and town theatres in the time series are comparable over time, and the data on private theatres and theatre projects are comparable since 2007. Changes in the time series may be due to the difference in the definitions and methodology used by Statistics Estonia and the Estonian Theatre Agency. Statistics Estonia collected data on theaters before 2004, Estonian Theater Agency since 2004.
The cross-domain coherence can not be assessed. Theatre data have been collected by the Estonian Theatre Agency since 2004 and the same information is currently not collected anywhere else in Estonia.
The outputs of the statistical activity are coherent. Due to rounding, the sums received by adding numbers in tables are not always equal with the total. |
The data revision policy and notification of corrections are described in the section Principles of dissemination of official statistics of the website of Statistics Estonia.
