Statistics Estonia presents today, on 30 July, the publication “Eesti statistika aastaraamat. 2010. Statistical Yearbook of Estonia” which reflects in figures the life of Estonia in the first decade of the 21st century.
According to Statistics Estonia, one of the most important population development indicators — life expectancy — has shown an increasing trend in Estonia in case of women as well as men during the last decade. Due to a higher life expectancy, women outnumber men at the age of 65+ by two times.
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2012, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 4% compared to the same month of the previous year. The decline in the production was mostly influenced by the manufacturing of electronic and metal products.
According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2015 compared to January of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2011, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the total profit of the business sector was 2.8 billion euros, which is 40% more than the year before. The enterprises last earned a similar total profit in 2006 and 2008.
