According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2013 the total profit of the business sector was 945 million euros, which was 5% more than in the same period a year earlier.
According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2010 the total profit of business sector was 2.0 billion euros (30.9 billion kroons), being about two times bigger than in the previous year. At the same time the total profit decreased more than a fifth compared to 2008 and about 40% compared to the record high 2007.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2009 63% of Estonian households had access to the Internet at home, compared to the same period of the previous year this indicator has increased five percentage points. Almost all enterprises with 10 and more persons employed had access to the Internet as in the previous three years.
According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate declined to 8.1% in the 2nd quarter of 2013. The number of the long-term unemployed decreased remarkably.
Today, on 10 January the Government of the Republic approved the list of statistical actions for the years 2013–2017. In 2013, Statistics Estonia will organise over 200 statistical actions.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2010, the net sales, costs and total profit of the business sector increased compared to the previous quarter as well as to the same quarter of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, the data of the Innovation Survey show that 47.6% of enterprises were innovative in 2012. Compared to the previous, 2010 Survey, the rate of innovativeness decreased by 9.2 percentage points.
Year 2009 was Museum Year in Estonia. According to Statistics Estonia, in spite of the economic recession, the attendance of museums increased by 8% in 2009 compared to the previous year, amounting to over 2.2 million.
